AeroDoor has delivered a turnkey package for the design, fabrication, and installation of two bottom rolling hangar doors.
AeroDoor’s installation scope included ASCE rail, top track, door leaves, and weather seals. It also covered all aspects of electrical wiring, conduit, configuration, and final testing. Jonathan Mathews, co-owner of AeroDoor, revisited the jobsite to conduct owner training upon project completion. The general contractor handled sheeting and concrete responsibilities.
Hangar doors are bi-parting configuration which means they open from the center and mechanically slide into pocket space on each side of the opening. 208v 3 phase power is delivered by SOOW cable to each surface mounted motor and control panel. To operate the door you must hold down the open or close button.
The hangar door leaves have the ability to safely deflect either upward or downward in alignment with the roof space, courtesy of the telescoping pogo rollers we employed. The live load deflection for these rollers is +6″/-9.
The doors will protect a wide range of aircraft and help to deliver optimal environments for maintenance, storage, and other aviation related services.
