Castle Aviation, a long-established cargo and charter operator based at Akron–Canton Airport, has expanded its presence in Northeast Ohio with the grand opening of a new fixed-base operator (FBO) facility in the summer of 2025. The $10.5 million development includes two new aircraft hangars and a private terminal, offering full-service general aviation support, enhanced hangar capacity, and modern amenities for visiting operators and pilots.
AeroDoor International was contracted to engineer, fabricate, deliver, and install the hangar door systems for each of the new aircraft hangars. Both doors were custom-designed to meet the project’s size and performance requirements:
These heavy-duty door systems combine durability with operational flexibility, ensuring long-term performance in the variable Ohio climate.
AeroDoor’s turnkey scope included coordinated delivery and installation that integrated seamlessly with the hangar construction timeline. The doors provide Castle Aviation and its FBO customers robust, dependable access for aircraft movements while supporting the facility’s mission to provide expanded fueling, hangaring, and ground support services. The finished hangars and terminal now stand as a showcase of modern aviation infrastructure, ready to serve a growing general aviation community at Akron–Canton Airport.
