Jason Mathews

Jason Mathews the eldest of John’s three sons. He began working for his father at an early age drilling holes in steel beams as well as preparing them for paint. He worked on weekends, summers and school holidays. It wasn’t until he helped his father erect a large hangar door that he realized how fascinating it was to hoist door panels into position with a crane. He remembers that day vividly, as all the other trades were watching intently. It was on this day he thought to himself if “If I’m ever going to install doors, these are the doors I want to install”.

He began his career at Aero Door roughly 28 years ago in the shop and advanced from helper to shop foreman, installer, service technician, and field superintendent constantly learning every step along the way. In 2012, he and his brother Jonathan purchased Aero Door from their father John Mathews and he moved into the office. He now is responsible for design, aiding in engineering, and overseeing the manufacturing process. Jason has developed an insatiable appetite for learning new ways to manufacture and install hangar doors, elevating Aero Door as a leading name in the hangar door industry.

When Jason isn’t working, he enjoys family time with his wife and three children. He especially enjoys doing outdoor activities including fishing, camping, and boating. At home he enjoys barbecuing and watching college football.
