AeroDoor To Manufacture Bottom Rolling Door For New Air Force Training Facilities In Altus

About The Project

Orlando, Florida—July 25th, 2016— AeroDoor International in Florida has been awarded the hangar door contract as part of a multi-million dollar contract with the Department of Defense. Our bid was part of a $16,645,200 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of a KC-46A Fuselage Trainer Flight Training Center and the Fuselage Trainer at Altus Air Force Base.

The KC-46A aerial refueling tankers will gradually replace an aging fleet of KC-135 aircraft. Altus will be the home of the formal training unit for the new aircraft which are scheduled to be delivered in 2018, according to the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center.

Paul Blake said:
“This is yet another great example of AeroDoor’s capability to deliver the best aircraft hangar door systems for military aircraft hangars. 2016 has been a great year so far and we’ve closed some extraordinary military contracts. This is another and we’re very happy to have been awarded it. We’ll deliver this one just like the rest. We’re looking forward to working with the general contractor who we have worked with previously and long may that relationship continue to grow.”

AeroDoor are contracted to engineer, manufacture and install the complete hangar door system.

Estimated completion date is Summer 2017.
